The label’s story begins in Halle, where Sonia Boessert and Brigitte Schorn got to know each other while studying fashion at Burg Giebichenstein University for Art and Design.

With their first collaboration, they received a nomination at the prestigious Hyères International Festival of Fashion and Photography. Since 2006, they have been releasing collections twice a year. However, the duo split up in the beginning of 2010 and beginning with spring/summer 2011, Sonia Boessert became the sole designer behind the label.

Boessert/Schorn represents extraordinary items, combining materials with characteristic surfaces and structures, especially knitwear in all its variations. Boessert/Schorn worked out special handcraft methods, kniting techniques and dyeings that are inspired by old things, craft and traditional costumes. Its style is rough, inaccurate and nonchalant —it is fashion without straight lines and classic cuts.
