Âme Sœur was founded in 2008 by sisters Sabina and Madina Taschén. Early on, the duo developed a deep passion for design and shared the desire to work in a creative field.
While Sabina got her diploma in modeling and styling at Esmod Berlin, Madina graduated with a degree in business administration. After 5 years in Paris, the duo returned to Berlin.
With the vision to use creative techniques, the sisters developed a concept to fold the main body of each dress out of one single piece of fabric. This deep involvement with the process of generating new shapes by folding techniques characterises the signature of the label. Another hallmark of Âme Sœur are kaleidoscopic prints, which are designed as collage art. They are the perfect extension to the pure architectural shapes of the garments.
